WALTER VAN BEIRENDONCK by LINDA FARROW (CREAM) SGD$400.00

Walter Van Beirendonck for Linda Farrow Projects Spring/Summer 2010

Walter Van Beirendonck presents his new line of sunglasses in collaboration with Linda Farrow under the line Linda Farrow Projects.

For the first collaboration between Walter Van Beirendonck and Linda Farrow inspires a cartoon ‘Flintstones’ versus ‘The Jetsons’ in a future/technology battle with prehistory. A classic shaped men’s sunglass sculpted in un-even wood opposed by a futuristic Interchangeable lens available in brown, black and green which are removable from the top of the frame including a ‘W’ logo in center

It was in 1957 in Brecht (a small county in Antwerp) that this thread and needle avant gardist was born. Walter collaborated with his fellow classmates Margiela, Demeule1meester, Bikkembergs, van Saene, Van Noten and Marina Yee to create what would be known as the famous group of SIX. He launched his first collection (called ‘Sado,) in 1983 while assuring different collaborations (like the sportswear line of Gianfranco Ferre for which he ensured the design for 3 seasons). Walter became a professor at the Royal Academy of Antwerp in 1985.

Linda Farrow Projects launching for Spring Summer 2010 in collaboration with Damir Doma, Tim Hamilton, Gaspard Yurkievich and Tim Soar. Each designer creates one sunglass creating their own artistic style through sunglasses, overall complementing the complete silhouette for their brand. The concept of Linda Farrow Projects brings together creativity working with the most exciting designers to date offering a diverse selection under one brand - Linda Farrow Projects.
